Right after the Diwali festival and holidays in India, we were all set to host another inbound photo-tour. This time we stared in far east from Kolkata and all the way to Sunderbans and back to Varanasi for a great photography and spiritual stop. Later, we headed to Mathura and Delhi. We made some really great images together and had a great time.
Away from the regular, Gaurav Mishra went to explore and travel the whole of Rajasthan, Delhi and Agra in February of 2019. While he was mentoring an inbound workshop with participants from Europe, turned out to be a fantastic photographic and learning experience. We became great friends on the go. During these two weeks of travel, photography and fun, was at its best. We got to know a lot of things about the German/Swiss culture and language. The thing we had in common was 'photography' the art which got that bond stronger.
INDIAN INSTITUTE OF PHOTOGRAPHY, DELHI
Most eminent engineering college contacted Mr. Gaurav Mishra and invited him to their literary festival where he was to give a talk on photography as an art form. Now we all know how photography can be clubbed into both science and art altogether, but, not all of us can differentiate among the two.
Gaurav Mishra explained both starting with the science of photography and then moving on to the art form and how aesthetics work in a photograph and how different rules of photography govern the art form, he also talked of breaking them given, one knows how to follow them first.
The students at the Design and Innovation Academy hosted Gaurav Mishra for a talk on how the art of photography directly affects the sphere of designing.
The students were subjected to a number of elucidating topics ranging from the photographers profession as a channel of communication to that of the relation between the photographer and the designer, and how each can compliment another’s work by their work.
DESIGN AND INNOVATION ACADEMY, NOIDA

Gaurav Mishra was invited for a 2 day workshop to Mody University to mentor the students in the art of photography.
Students often take to co-curriculars during their hectic schedule and photography is one popular hobby. During the 2 day span, the students were first introduced to the basic concepts of photography and the use of DSLR camera. While, the second day comprised of much advanced learning as to adhere to the different techniques and trick shots used in photography. The mentor also gave the students a talk on how photography is an art and how they should sharpen their creative edge while keeping in mind the aesthetics to nurture creative stimulation. He asked the students to balance the reliance on technology to the creative ideation.
Post the session he was asked to judge a photography competition and award the winning contestant.

An inter-school photography competition held at Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, where the well renowned schools of Delhi, like Amity School and Mother’s International were contending. Furthermore, Gaurav Mishra also took a day’s workshop with the students of 10th and 12th. He gave them advice on how to develop a more artistic and aesthetic outlook towards the visual arts, providing them with information on the opportunities and aspects in the field. This gave them a fresh perspective towards various professions.

NIKON INDIA WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS, PHOTO-TOURS & PRODUCT LAUNCHES
Nikon India is a photography giant who more than often turns to Gaurav Mishra for a number of things.
Gaurav Mishra has been awarded the ‘Nikon Professional Service’ Membership which is only given to a handful of photographers. He conducted pan India workshops and seminars for the corporate and has been shooting for various product launches and for Nikon’s Visual communications.
He was also invited to another one of the prized institutions of Delhi, Gargi University, to host a 2-day workshop explaining the students, the role of photography in cinema.
Cinema itself is a big sphere and in it Gaurav Mishra was asked to shed light on how photography, framing, rules that govern photography and cameras and light played its part in order to give you the enthralling experience and the emotional release that you look for in a movie.

ROLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY IN CINEMA AND FILM-MAKING
4K- STEPPING STONE TO BETTER PICTURE
The technology company had invited Gaurav Mishra in for a 2 day workshop in order to introduce the 4K technology to its employees. Mr. Gaurav kindly obliged and took on the task with great enthusiasm.
Gaurav Mishra began the workshop with simple introduction of resolutions and how they have been changing throughout the years, how it was different in Standard Definition to High Definition and now in 4K. Introducing the benefits of shooting in 4K while guiding them through the process of post-production.
He connected with the employees through the above conversation so as to stimulate higher retention of information.
A corporate we all know very well, the place to go when you need to buy yourself a laptop as computers are now a major part of our daily life. Thus, the employees work hard enough to meet the needs of the nation, and its often that HCL breaks the monotony and organises creative activities for its employees.
They invited Mr. Gaurav Mishra to conduct a photography workshop in order to relieve the employees of banality of their daily life. On 100 participants in 2 days, Gaurav Mishra imparted his knowledge of photography and through various activities and exercises Gaurav Mishra left behind a happy staff of employees.

TRANSIENT TIMES- ASIAN ACADEMY OF FILM AND TELEVISION
The Gaurav Mishra was invited to the prestigious media institute for a day long workshop with the students giving them insight on the changing trends and technology.
Discussions were more inclined towards film but, as we know photography is the mother of motion capture. He talked of the new technologies available in DSLRs and how they are helpful with the framing and stabilization, they discussed how a new component ‘Atomos’ can be used to capture uncompressed footage and how it gives the user more flexibility on color correction, contrast ratio while post-production. Later, he switched to the eras of filmmaking and how the trends have been changing and finally what the industry is headed towards.
EVEN THE ENGLISH COULDN'T RESIST
Well they say everyone needs a hobby and they are right, the members of British Council club played host to Gaurav Mishra for an entire day of fun and learning about the art of photography, through various activities and a few trick shots.
Gaurav Mishra has been a mentor for Delhi Photography Club for over a year and a half now, and he often engage in sessions tending to the advanced learners.
During these sessions he reviews their work and guides them to better their product in order to yield better results, he is constant part of collaborations of Delhi Photography Club with other organizations and judges its competetions.
Social Service has been a big part of our mentor’s career, and Orbis- an NGO for the ‘Visually Impaired’ called forth Gaurav Mishra.
He took a one day session with the internal employees in order to train them to appreciate a good photograph as, they travel to various places and capture stories. Gaurav Mishra taught them the art of storytelling through pictures, highlighting various components that dictate the aesthetics of a good image that shall narrate the intended story.
The employees were also trained to be technically equipped and updated so as to correctly implement the usage of the equipment at hand.
